Jewelry Care *

WATER SAND STONE jewelry is made primarily with brass and silver. Both metals will eventually build up an antique finish as they are worn. Many people like this natural patina, but if you would like to bring your piece back to its original shine, here are some helpful tips:

  • If you prefer a brighter shine, gently polish regularly with a polishing pad or soft cloth (like a microfiber cloth that you would clean your glasses or computer screen with). I love these: SHINE RITE POLISHING PADS
  • Keep your piece away from humidity as much as possible. It is fine for brass and silver to get wet. Just be sure to dry your pieces completely once you are out of the water.
  • Store in a cool, dry place, ideally in a pouch or jewelry box.

Your jewelry was made to be worn and loved, just a little care helps it age gracefully.

Brass Jewelry and Skin Oxidation:
Brass contains copper which can cause skin oxidation. Most brass wearers are familiar with it, and do not mind. Some people will see more of this than others, depending on each individual's biochemistry. This oxidation is harmless, and will go away when you are not wearing the jewelry.

I hope your new piece brings you joy, strength, and a sense of balance-
just as it was designed to do.
